The MTech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI and DS) trains students in the theory and practice of Data Science, AI Essentials, Evolutionary Computing, and more. Career opportunities include machine learning, speech technology, computational biology, radiogenomics, blockchain technology and graph theory.

The M. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is a response to India’s strategic initiatives—such as Digital India, AI for All, and the National Cyber Security Strategy—which necessitate the development of engineers possessing advanced research capabilities.

The M. Tech. in Energy Systems Engineering is an interdisciplinary program that equips highly skilled professionals with the expertise necessary to address the critical energy and environmental challenges facing both India and the global community.

The M. Tech. in Environmental Science and Technology prepares future-ready professionals to address urgent global challenges in environment and sustainability. It combines engineering principles with environmental sciences, ecological systems, and sustainable technologies.

The M. Tech. in Information Technology cultivates technology leaders and innovators. This program moves beyond foundational knowledge to offer a meticulously updated, advanced curriculum in Deep Learning, Blockchain, Cyber Forensics, and IoT Architecture.

The M. Tech. in Manufacturing Engineering and Automation is a mix of traditional production knowledge with the latest technologies including robotics, automation, digital twins, and AI-based optimization of the manufacturing process.

The M. Tech. program in Medical Electronics focuses on integrating advanced electronics with intelligent systems for medical applications. Students learn to design sophisticated medical devices, embedded systems, and AI solutions to enhance computer assisted diagnostics and digital therapeutic interventions.

The M. Tech., in Power Electronics and Drives prepares engineers for leadership roles in modern power and energy systems. Students will gain hands-on experience with simulation tools, real-time laboratories, and industry case studies.

The M. Tech. in VLSI Design develops highly skilled professionals for the semiconductor and VLSI industry. Students will build strong expertise in VLSI design, Digital, Analog, Mixed Signal and RF circuits, FPGA/ASIC technologies and System-on-Chip (SoC) design.

The M. Tech. in Wireless Communication Technology nurtures engineers with expertise in next-generation communication systems. Students benefit from state-of-the-art laboratories and exposure in emerging areas such as 6G, IoT, AI/ML in communications, and beyond.

  • Candidates who have completed their B.E./B.Tech. degree from a recognized institution are eligible to apply.
  • A minimum aggregate of 60% in X, XII and the qualifying degree is required to be eligible for shortlisting.
  • Those who have appeared for the final examinations may also apply, provided they secure at least 60% marks in aggregate. 
  • Candidates with standing arrears or backlogs in the current semester are not eligible as per University policy.
  • The candidates shall go through a two-step selection process, including an Offline entrance examination followed by an interview.
  • Working professionals from industry are strongly encouraged to apply to the respective programs.
  • The PG students can choose to have a residential or non-residential admission to the course.
  • Candidates with a valid GATE score and satisfying the necessary conditions stipulated by the University may be eligible for a scholarship as decided by the concerned authority.
  • Selected candidates shall undergo the first two semesters in regular on-campus mode.
  • During the second year, candidates may carry out their project work at their workplace / industries and earn the required credits through MOOCS/NPTEL/SWAYAM courses as approved by the department.
