Program Overview: B.Com. (Professional Accounting)

A focused three-year undergraduate program designed for students committed to building a strong and specialized career in Accounting and Finance. The program offers a rigorous academic foundation and is closely aligned with leading professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CS, etc. preparing students to become competent industry-ready professionals or practicing accountants.

This program is benchmarked with the ICAI CA syllabus while fully meeting the academic standards of the UGC curriculum framework. Additionally, the program is accredited with the ACCA (London), offering graduates of this program nine paper exemptions under ACCA.

Learners are guided and mentored throughout their academic journey by a teaching team comprising of experienced academicians, practicing professionals including qualified Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants, Company Secretaries, and industry specialists in areas such as accounting, taxation, auditing, law and finance ensuring a blend of theoretical knowledge and real-world application.

With its strong professional alignment, structured progression, and expert-led delivery, this program equips graduates with the confidence, competence, and qualifications needed to excel in the dynamic global accounting landscape.

  • The program offers a faster, more efficient route to ACCA membership without compromising academic or professional rigour. ACCA grants exemptions to ensure students start from the level that reflects their existing expertise, eliminating repetition of already-mastered subjects
  • Practicing professionals, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Lawyers teach various subjects including Tax, Financial Reporting, Company Law based on the professional examination requirements.
  • Tutorials and revision classes for those taking up professional exams

  • Placement Training is given from 2nd year onwards covering aptitude tests, group discussions and interviews

The integrated curriculum is mapped to both the CA syllabus and ACCA syllabus, (9 papers) in addition to UGC guidelines. The students of this program can pursue both pathways.

1. CA Pathway

  • Students will be prepared to write CA Institute’s Foundation Exam after 2nd Semester
  • CA Institute’s Intermediate level Exam can be pursued after 4th Semester
  • Select courses relating to CA final exams will be taught in the 5th and 6th
  • Revision classes are held to improve examination performance and build confidence.
  • Apart from revising topics, practice tests are conducted regularly (including past CA papers)


2. ACCA Pathway

  • The academic requirements of the ACCA include passing 13 papers.
  • For graduates of this program, exemption from exams in 9 papers is given by ACCA.
  • Students may attempt the Strategic Professional Level ACCA papers (4 papers) anytime during the three years of the program or in the fourth year after graduation.
  • Students simultaneously work towards a university degree and the globally recognized ACCA qualification.
  • The assessment pattern is similar to the pattern adopted by ACCA.
