Dr. Janani Ravinagarajan has completed her under-graduation in Commerce and Finance from Bharathidasan University, her MBA in Finance & Systems from Anna University, and her Ph.D. in Finance from VIT, Chennai. Her doctoral research is focused on arbitrage opportunities using return, risk and volumes in algorithmic, colocation and other trading modes.
She has over 13 years of experience in academics and corporate. Her academic experience includes teaching and research for over 8 years. She specializes in teaching in Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Financial Management, Security Analysis, Portfolio Management, personal finance, risk management, investing in stock market and Financial Markets and services. She has been associated with leading institutions like Vellore Institute of Technology and Dayananda Sagar University. She was recipient of “Raman Research Award” during the year 2021 at VIT. She has participated in several conferences and has published book chapters. She also has publications in Scopus and ABDC indexed journals. Before her current role she has held academic position in Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai and at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. She is a visiting faculty at Madras School of Social Work.
In addition to her academic experience, Dr. Janani brings over 6 years of industry insights from her roles as a Finance Analyst in the corporate sector in India and Singapore. She has worked in diverse domains of securitization and ratings, commercial real estate underwriting, portfolio management of high-net-worth investors and corporate accounting of a listed company in Singapore.
Dr. Janani has actively contributed to the academic community through research paper presentations at national and international conferences and has published several articles in reputed journals.
