Shiv Nadar University is proud to announce that a team of second-year students consisting of Harikrishnan S, Rohit Arrunachalam, Arun S Dhamodhar, Vaka Isha Reddy from B.Tech CSE (IOT) have recently won third place in the Tamil Nadu Police Hackathon organized by the Cyber Crime Wing at St.Joseph’s College of Engineering. Out of a total of 347 teams that participated, only 16 were selected to compete in the finals and our students secured the third place and won a cash prize of Rs.30,000 which was awarded by Dr. C. Sylendra Babu, Director General of Police and Head of Police Force, Tamil Nadu Police.
The team of students developed a Vehicle Fraud Detection System that is capable of identifying vehicles with fake license plates. This innovative system is a powerful tool for law enforcement agencies that are struggling to combat vehicle-related crimes.
