We are proud to announce that two of our talented third-year B.Sc Economics (Data Science) students, Nikitha Vijay and Madhumitha Dayalan, have won the prestigious Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Development Paradoxes of the Global South. The event was organized by MOP Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai, in collaboration with Lambung Mangkurat University, South Kalimantan, Indonesia on 15 March 2025.
Nikitha and Madhumitha were awarded for their insightful paper titled “Assessing India’s Readiness for Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and Green Transition: A Policy and Industry Perspective”. Their paper stood out among 19 other contenders in the “Way Ahead for the Global South” track, showcasing their exceptional research skills and understanding of critical global development issues.
This recognition highlights the depth of their work in the fields of policy analysis and sustainable industry practices, marking a significant achievement in their academic journey. We congratulate them for their outstanding contribution to the global dialogue on sustainable development and green transitions.
