The Department of Commerce, Shiv Nadar University Chennai (SNUC), organised its first-ever Alumni Felicitation and Interactive Session for students of the B.Com General, and B.Com (Professional Accounting) programmes. The event marked a significant milestone in the University’s alumni engagement efforts and aimed to bridge the gap between alumni and current students through meaningful interaction.

Six alumni from the B.Com (Hons) programme (Batch of 2024) were invited for the session: Arjun (Ex–EY, currently pursuing MBA), Srisailakshmi (Ex–HCL Technologies, CA Inter aspirant), Pranav (Redington), Pranav (Entrepreneur, TVG Industries Pvt. Ltd.), Bansi R Shah (Evolve Energy Group), and Jagruti (Student, Singapore Management University). The alumni represented diverse professional paths including corporate employment, entrepreneurship, professional qualifications, and international higher education.

The programme was conducted as an interactive discussion, where numerous questions were posed. The discussion focused on career choices after graduation, higher education opportunities, professional challenges, and the transition from campus to the workplace. The alumni shared candid reflections on their journeys and offered practical advice based on their experiences.

The alumni also reflected on their time at SNUC, highlighting how the University’s academic environment, campus culture, clubs and peer interactions contributed to their personal and professional development. The session was engaging and informative, providing students with clarity regarding their future paths.

The event concluded on a positive note, successfully strengthening alumni–student connections and setting the stage for future alumni engagement initiatives at Shiv Nadar University Chennai.
