Pravalika Arunkumar from B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science served as the Vice – Chairperson of the G20 committee in the 5th edition of the Women’s Christian College Model United Nations 2022, WCCMUN’22, a two-day national conference which was held on the 12th and 13th of April 2022. Almost 1000 students from colleges all over India had participated in this event. Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational simulation in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. The G20 committee was a stimulation of an intergovernmental forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union. It works to address major issues related to the global economy, such as international financial stability, climate change mitigation, and sustainable development. The committee’s agenda was ‘addressing the impact of Russia – Ukraine Crisis on global trade and manufacturing’ which is a topic which needs at most attention due to the ongoing conflict. Moderating and marking the delegates based on their performances in speech and foreign policy, it was a 2-day event filled with fruitful debate along with diplomacy.
