Reconnecting Roots: The First Alumni Meet at Shiv Nadar University Chennai
Shiv Nadar University Chennai proudly hosted its first-ever Alumni Meet on 7th February 2026, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s journey. The event brought together over 120 alumni from the founding batch, who travelled from Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and various other cities to reconnect with their alma mater.
The evening commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by the rendition of Tamil Thaai Vazhthu, setting a dignified and reflective tone for the occasion. A vibrant cultural dance performance by Ameya added warmth to the inaugural segment, after which the Presidential Address formally welcomed the gathering. A key highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the Alumni Association logo, symbolizing the beginning of a structured and enduring alumni network.
The Vice Chancellor addressed the alumni, emphasizing their pivotal role in contributing to the University’s continued growth and development. The address underscored the importance of sustained engagement, mentorship, and collaborative initiatives between alumni and the institution.
The celebratory spirit continued with captivating cultural performances by Rhythm and a musical presentation by Isai. Thoughtfully curated video montages featuring messages from faculty members and international students evoked nostalgia and reaffirmed the strong bonds shared within the SNUC community. Interactive games further enlivened the evening, recreating the bonding and vibrancy of student life.
The event concluded with a gala dinner and networking session, providing alumni an opportunity to reconnect and strengthen professional and personal ties. The evening formally ended with a vote of thanks, and alumni were presented with return gifts as a token of appreciation for their continued association with the University.
