On May 6, 2024, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) and Shiv Nadar University Chennai (SNUC) at the IGCAR premises in Kalpakkam. The MoU was formalized by Dr. Sriman Kumar Bhattacharyya, Vice Chancellor of SNUC, and Dr. B. Venkatraman, Director of IGCAR, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Dr. N. Nallusamy, Registrar of SNUC, Dr. N.P. Rajesh, Professor at SNUC, Dr. R. Sujatha, Professor at SNUC, Dr. Vidya, Associate Director of IGCAR, Dr. Vijayaraghavan, Head of PMG at IGCAR, and Smt. Ajitha Thariyan, Chief Administrative Officer of IGCAR.
This collaboration aims to enhance student and faculty development through special lectures and laboratory experiments, and to foster joint research and scholarly activities. It will also involve organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, and facilitating joint publications. Furthermore, the agreement includes the exchange of scientists, faculty, and students, along with the formulation and implementation of training programs and courses.
All outcomes, publications, and reports resulting from this collaboration will be the joint property of both IGCAR and SNUC, ensuring a synergistic partnership that benefits both institutions. Ultimately, this MoU will greatly benefit the organizations as well as the students and faculty involved, promoting growth, innovation, and academic excellence.
