Judah Jacinth gets nominated by the U.S. Embassy to represent India at EIMUN 2024 and wins the Best Position Paper Award

The United States Embassy, in collaboration with the Youth Thinkers Society, organized an International MUN called Everest International MUN from July 24 to July 28, 2024, in Kathmandu, Nepal. The U.S. Department of State-funded program is a U.S. Government Exchange Program. Judah, a fourth-year CSE (IoT) student from SNU, Chennai, was chosen as one of the delegates to represent India. He competed internationally with delegates from 10 Central and South Asian countries. As the U.S. Ambassador of Nepal stated, “200 of the best and brightest minds of this region” were invited to compete and participate in EIMUN 2024.
 
The MUN had five committees. Judah was allocated the role of the delegate of Norway in the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) committee. Each committee offered three award categories, totaling 15 awards. Judah won the Best Position Paper award in his committee for accurately representing Norway’s foreign policy and maintaining diplomacy throughout the discussions. He is now officially recognized as a U.S. Government Exchange Program alumnus.
