Driving Impact Through Innovation: PANTRIX Wins First Place at Fusion for Future 2025!
We’re excited to announce that our students have unlocked a major milestone at the Fusion for Future 2025 Hackathon, part of DRESTEIN ’25, hosted at Saveetha Engineering College!
Competing against 110+ teams from colleges across the region, our first-semester innovators — Mr. Naga Dheepan N (AI&DS – B) and Mr. Naga Dharsan N (IoT – B) — emerged as First Place winners, securing a certificate and a cash prize of ₹3,000 for their groundbreaking project Pantrix, a smart food waste reduction system.
Pantrix is an AI + IoT-powered solution designed to combat food waste at its root. Leveraging real-time analytics, automated inventory intelligence, and predictive waste mapping, it aligns strongly with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and supports India’s roadmap toward a cleaner, greener, and more circular economy.
At the hackathon, Dheepan and Dharsan didn’t just present a project — they showcased a scalable, future-ready ecosystem built to empower households, canteens, and institutions to proactively prevent food waste. Their journey reflects unwavering dedication: countless hours of ideation, rapid prototyping, refining user flows, and optimizing the tech stack to deliver a high-impact, high-efficiency solution.
A big shout-out to the Saveetha Engineering College DRESTEIN team for creating a vibrant innovation arena that brought together some of the brightest young minds. We are immensely proud of our students for stepping up, standing out, and delivering a solution with real-world, sustainable impact.
Together, we’re continuing to champion bold ideas and disruptive innovation — engineering solutions that accelerate India’s transition toward a smarter and more sustainable future.
