Prof MJ Manohar Rao award is one of the most prestigious awards in Economics/Econometrics conferred by The Econometric Society of India. Dr Surya Nath Maiti, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics at Shiv Nadar University Chennai has been honoured with this accolade for the year 2024. The Selection Committee’s (constituted by TIES Trust) desk was inundated with applications, but Dr Surya Nath Maiti’s work excelled.
He will therefore receive a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a Citation at the 59th Annual Conference of the Indian Econometric Society to be held on March 3-5, 2025, at Benaras Hindu University, Varanasi, with Dr Sudipto Mundle as President.
