Central Perk – A Student-Led Café & Entrepreneurial Venture

 

At Shiv Nadar University Chennai, we always believed that students deserve to explore more than just two paths – placements or higher studies. That’s why we began our journey by establishing Innovatio – SNUC’s Entrepreneurship Cell and Startup Society: to build a culture of entrepreneurship within our campus.

 

The Central Perk Café is the first business venture under Innovatio – a completely student-led initiative designed not just as a café, but as a hub for relaxation, networking, and collaboration.

 

Inspired by the iconic café from the classic English sitcom Friends, Central Perk brings that same spirit of togetherness to our campus. Beyond food and coffee, it is a recreational spot where students can unwind, share ideas, build connections, and nurture their entrepreneurial spirit. With mental well-being and peer bonding being vital aspects of campus life, Central Perk is envisioned as a space that blends community spirit with innovation.

Quick bites and comfort food made with love – from waffles, brownies, and loaded fries to Milo Shakes, Peanut Butter Smoothies, Whey Protein Shakes, Nachos, Sandwiches, Nuggets, and freshly brewed Coffee.

 

This venture was made possible with the constant encouragement and support from SSN iFound, our E-Cell faculty coordinators, professors, our Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and many more members of the university community.

 

Central Perk was inaugurated on 4th September (Thursday) – marking the beginning of a new student-led culture on campus.

 

So, whether you’re looking for a quick snack, a cozy break, or a place to spark ideas with your peers – Central Perk is your space. Come in and have a bite!
