Dr Sruti M D has a PhD in English Literature from School of Letters (SoL), Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD). Her research was on narratives emplotting urban migration; it explored concepts around Indian modernity, writing as a form of resistance, and the ‘right to the city’ discourse.
Dr Sruti is a recipient of the Smitu Kothari Fellowship for Young Writers 2021. She was a member of the Indian Writers’ Forum (IWF) editorial collective. She worked with the Centre for English Language Education (CELE) at AUD on the Writing Pedagogy and Higher Education in India project. She also worked as a Graduate Tutor at JNU.
Dr Sruti has presented research papers at institutes of repute across the country, such as TISS, Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia and JNU.
