Dr. Rudrashis Majumder is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shiv Nadar University, Chennai. His research focuses on machine learning, control systems, and optimization, with applications in autonomous vehicles, UAV traffic management, and robotics. He received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering (Guidance & Control Division) from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, where his doctoral work centred on game-theoretic frameworks for disaster resource allocation. He also holds a master’s degree in Control Systems Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, where he was awarded the University Gold Medal for securing the first rank. Before joining Shiv Nadar University, Dr. Majumder was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at IISc, contributing to the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory (AIRL) and ARTPARK. He has worked on projects funded by DRDO, Collins Aerospace, and ARTPARK, addressing challenges in safe navigation, autonomous systems, and swarm robotics. Dr. Majumder is also passionate about teaching. He has been involved in courses on drone systems, swarm robotics, and guidance & control at IISc. He has served as a co-instructor of the NPTEL course “Drone Systems and Control” launched in July 2025. He actively serves as a reviewer for leading international journals and conferences in robotics, control, and AI.
