Bio
Dr. Rourab Paul is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Shiv Nadar University, Chennai. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University (2017–2025), India, and at the University of Pisa (2023–2024), Italy. He also held a post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Dr. Paul earned his B.Sc. (2008) and M.Sc. (2010) degrees in Electronic Science from the University of Calcutta. He completed his Ph.D. in Cryptography and related VLSI design at the University of Calcutta, Kolkata (2012–2017). During his doctoral studies, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the School of IT, University of Calcutta.
He also worked with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Geneva, Switzerland, as part of the Large Ion Collider Experiment (ALICE) from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, he held a visiting research fellowship in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) from September 2013 to January 2014.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Paul served as a Visiting Lecturer at Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, Madhyamgram, and Techno India, Salt Lake, Kolkata. He also worked as a Senior Academic Consultant at Convergent Solutions, Salt Lake, and completed an internship at i-cee Design Technology, Kolkata.
