Dr. R. Subashini is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Shiv Nadar University Chennai. She obtained her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Madras, A.C. Tech Campus, Chennai, and her M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. During her doctoral research, she was awarded the prestigious Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Dr. Subashini has authored more than 45 research articles in reputed international journals and has presented over 30 papers at national and international conferences. She is also the inventor of a granted Indian patent titled “Orthopaedic Belts Using Sodium Acetate Crystals” (Patent No. 201841038595). Her interdisciplinary research focuses on the convergence of biotechnology, molecular biology, phytochemistry, nanotechnology, biomaterials, and biomedical engineering to develop innovative and translational solutions for healthcare applications. Following the completion of her Ph.D., Dr. Subashini joined SSN College of Engineering as an Assistant Professor, where she made significant contributions to teaching, research, student mentorship, and academic development and currently continues her academic and research career at Shiv Nadar University Chennai.
