Dr. R. Rengaraj, Professor, Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Shiv Nadar University, Chennai, with over 22 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. He began his academic career as a Lecturer at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN) College of Engineering and has been associated with the institution since 2005, progressing through various academic positions, including Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor, before serving as Professor. In July 2026, he moved to Shiv Nadar University, Chennai, to continue his academic and research career. He holds a Ph.D. in Power Systems Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, and an M.E. in Power Systems Engineering with First Class with Distinction, securing Third Rank in Anna University, Chennai. He completed his B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with First Class with Distinction. His research interests include Power Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy, and Electric Vehicles. He has published extensively in reputed international journals and conferences, guided 10 Ph.D. scholars, undertaken sponsored research and industry consultancy projects, and authored/co-authored 4 books published by Pearson and Tata McGrawHill in the area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
