Dr. N. Padmapriya, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics has over 27 years of progressive teaching and research experience. She received DCU Scholarship to pursue post-graduate studies and was awarded Ph.D from Dublin City University, Dublin, Ireland in the year 2004. She was a member of Vision Systems Group, Centre for Image Processing and Analysis, School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University, Ireland. She won the outstanding paper award at the Literati Network Award for Excellence 2011 from Emerald Publishers for the paper titled “A Generic framework for colour texture image segmentation”, as a culmination of the rigorous research carried out at Dublin City University.
She has been with SriSivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering since 2009 and currently she is an Associate Professor in Shiv Nadar University, Chennai. She has been a recognized Ph.D supervisor of Anna University. Her research interest includes biomedical image analysis, Machine learning and deep learning. She has co-authored five books. She was a Co-principal investigator in a project funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences funded project and, in a DST- SSTP funded project funded by DST and she was involved in the internal funded projects by SSN Institutions. She has published over 34 peer reviewed research papers in reputed international journals and 41 research papers in the conference proceedings.
