Educational Qualifications
- M.Sc – Ph.D Dual Degree Mathematics, IIT Madras, 2022.
- B.Sc (H) Mathematics, University of Calcutta, 2014.
Dr. Md Mansur Alam joined Shiv Nadar University Chennai as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics in October 2024. He has over 2 years of academic experience. He holds a B.Sc(H) in Mathematics from the University of Calcutta (2014) and an MSc-PhD dual degree in Mathematics from IIT Madras (2022).
His research focuses on time-fractional abstract differential equations, specifically investigating the existence, uniqueness, global continuation, regularity, and other qualitative properties of solutions. His work primarily involves sectorial operators, semigroup theory of bounded linear operators, fractional resolvent families, and fixed-point theorems. Dr. Alam has published four research papers in prestigious international journals and presented his research at several international conferences. He was awarded the IIT Madras Institute Research Award in 2022. Additionally, he qualified the CSIR-UGC NET in Mathematical Science in 2017.
