Dr. K. Sathish Kumar received his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in Chemical Engineering in 2000 and 2002, respectively, and obtained his Ph.D. in 2010 with research focused on the application of nanoparticles in drug delivery.
His research interests include the synthesis and applications of nanomaterials, nanotechnology, and nanofluids for heat transfer applications, with a recent focus on MXene-based nanofluids. He has supervised more than 15 Ph.D. scholars and is currently guiding six doctoral researchers.
He has published over 70 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals, including around 10 articles on nanofluids, and has contributed five book chapters published by leading international publishers such as Springer and Elsevier. He has also filed two patents in the areas of CO₂ stripping using nanoparticles and preparation of biodegradable plastic using natural substances.
He is a Life Member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
