Dr. C. Vijaya Bhaskar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Shiv Nadar University Chennai. He holds a Ph.D. in English from CEG Campus, Anna University, Chennai. His doctoral research, titled The Effect of Language Tasks on Speaking Proficiency of the Engineering Students, focused on improving the speaking skills of engineering students through Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT). His research interests include English language teaching, theatre arts, and film studies.
Dr. Bhaskar has over 17 years of teaching experience, including more than 11 years at Anna University, Chennai. He has published research articles in national and international journals and is a member of the English Language Teachers’ Association of India (ELTAI). His creative work includes the English translation of the Tamil drama Bodhidarmar, along with the publication of short stories and poems in literary magazines. He is also an accomplished theatre artist with extensive experience in stage performance.
