Dr. A. Murugesan is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the School of Science and Humanities at Shiv Nadar University Chennai. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN) College of Engineering, Chennai, and as a CSIR-Research Associate at CSIR–National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune. He was also a Visiting Researcher at the West University of Timisoara, Romania. With over 13 years of teaching and research experience, he earned his Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai. His research focuses on plastic waste upcycling, polymer chemistry, porous materials, and sustainable environmental technologies. He has led several externally funded research projects supported by the SNFCG, SSN Trust, DST-SERB (ANRF), and Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. Dr. Murugesan has published over 40 research articles in leading international journals and has received 1,836+ citations, with an h-index of 20. He also holds a granted patent and serves as an Executive Committee Member of The Society for Polymer Science India (SPSI), while actively contributing as a mentor and reviewer in the field of sustainable materials research.
