Departmental Responsibiliteis at IIT Bombay

I have served as member of almost each and every committee at the departmental level (Chairperson M.Phil. Entrance Test (MET), Convenor of MET Committee, time-table coordinator, M.Phil. programme coordinator, Ph.D. coordinator, Seminar Coordinator, member of DUGC and DPGC). During my tenure, I pro-actively tried to raise both the intellectual capital and the financial capital for the department as a whole and especially for the economics programme. The academic interaction with Monash University witnessed good progress. A global immersion programme wherein Students from Monash visited IITB was successfully conducted and many joint Ph.D. have been enrolled.

  • After joining the Institute, I actively participated in teaching courses at Industrial Management programme, which later developed into SOM. I formulated and taught many courses during the initial years of SOM. I also taught courses for CTARA students until recently.  During my tenure as Head, HSS Dept., we launched BS in Economics Programme and also led the HSS team for GATE 2020 in HSS.
