M. Tech. in VLSI Design
The M.Tech. in VLSI Design offered by SSN School of Engineering is a two-year postgraduate program designed to develop highly skilled professionals for the semiconductor and VLSI industry. The program offers a rigorous blend of theoretical knowledge and practical training, with a strong emphasis on:
- Digital and Analog circuit design,
- FPGA / ASIC design, low-power systems, and
- Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools
Courses are delivered by experienced faculty with expertise in the VLSI domain, ensuring that students gain both deep academic understanding and hands-on skills. The program is supported by state-of-the-art laboratories, industry-standard licensed software, and advanced hardware platforms, enabling students to tackle real-world design challenges. Through hands-on experience and guided projects, students develop strong proficiency in advanced VLSI technologies, preparing them for roles in the semiconductor industry.
Build strong expertise in VLSI design; Digital, Analog, Mixed-Signal, and RF circuits; FPGA/ASIC technologies; and System-on-Chip (SoC) design.
Provide hands-on training in system design, testing, verification, and hardware prototyping.
Prepare students with a blend of knowledge, creativity, and innovative skills for careers in semiconductor fabrication, chip design, and electronic systems industries.
The program is supported by an industry-driven curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities, including domain-specific laboratories, industry-standard licensed software, and advanced hardware.
Key highlights include:
Advanced specializations in Intelligent VLSI Systems (IVS), Smart Electronic Devices, Neuromorphic Chip Design, and Advanced Packaging Technologies.
Cutting-edge exposure to Semiconductor Device Modelling, Reconfigurable Architectures, VLSI Physical Design, and Algorithms.
ChipIN Centre for EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens, Xilinx, Ansys, and Keysight) under the Chip-to-Startup (C2S) program by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
VLSI and Low-Power Computing Systems Lab – specializing in VLSI circuit design, testing, and FPGA/ASIC implementations.
