Dr. Divya B received her Ph.D. degree in the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on investigating the cognitive capabilities of autistic children using electrophysiological (EEG) measures. After completing her post-graduation in 2011, she joined Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology, Kerala, as an Assistant Professor. Subsequently, she joined Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN) College of Engineering as an Assistant Professor in 2016. She has been serving SSN since 2016, and she moved to Shiv Nadar University, Chennai, in July 2026.
During her tenure as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai, she actively contributed to academic administration and institutional development by serving on syllabus and curriculum committees, acting as Member Secretary of the Institutional Ethics Committee, coordinating e-learning initiatives, supporting ISO quality assurance activities, and organizing several national and international conferences, workshops, and faculty development programmes.
In 2025, while at SSN College of Engineering, she was awarded a short-term international research internship at Carnegie Mellon University (USA), where she collaborated with leading researchers on artificial intelligence applications in cognitive and behavioural healthcare. She also served as an overseas project mentor for undergraduate students at Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA, fostering international research collaboration and student mentorship.
Her research focuses on developing innovative healthcare technologies for the diagnosis, monitoring, and rehabilitation of neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders, with the goal of improving patient outcomes and benefiting society.
