Dr. Kanchana Rajaram received her Ph.D. from Anna University, her Master’s degree from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, and her Bachelor’s degree from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai.

She has a total of 36 years of teaching experience and 2 years of industry experience. She began her career at Indian Telephone Industries (ITI), where she worked for two years. She then joined NIT Tiruchirappalli and served as a Lecturer for 16 years. Subsequently, she was a faculty member at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai, for 19 years. She is currently with Shiv Nadar University Chennai.

Her research interests include Service Composition, Data Analytics, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things (IoT). She has published research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. 

She has completed two sponsored research projects. The first, funded by SSN Trust with a grant of ₹6 lakh, focused on an IoT-based Smart Sewage Monitoring System. The second, funded by BIRAC, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, with a grant of ₹1.06 crore, focused on Immunization Data Coverage Analytics.

Dr. Kanchana has undertaken consultancy projects for organizations including Caterpillar, ACI Automation, and Mikenko. She holds a patent titled “System for Unification of Heterogeneous Immunization Systems and Improvement of Data Quality.”

She has delivered guest lectures at various academic institutions and organized training programmes, value-added courses, workshops, invited talks, and Faculty Development Programmes for students and faculty members. She has also been involved in organizing three international conferences, two national conferences, and two international workshops.

In addition to her academic activities, she has coordinated several Isha Yoga programmes for students and faculty members at SSN College of Engineering.
