Dr. N. Sripriya is an Associate Professor (Grade-I) in the Department of Information Technology at Shiv Nadar University Chennai, with 25+ years of teaching experience and more than 16 years of research experience in speech and natural language processing. She completed her Ph.D. at Anna University, Chennai in 2016, with doctoral research on speech signal processing. This foundation in signal-level speech analysis has since grown into a broader research programme spanning natural language processing, pattern recognition and machine learning. She combines cutting-edge research, doctoral supervision and project guidance with effective teaching methods to foster an engaging, collaborative learning environment. She is currently guiding a Ph.D. scholar working on text summarization and serves as a doctoral committee member for Ph.D. research scholars from various universities, in addition to leading a team of students in speech and natural language processing. Her funded and guided project work spans a hybrid deep-learning approach to text processing and a machine-learning-based prediction systems reflecting a research focus that bridges speech processing, natural language processing and applied machine learning. She is a member of professional societies including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

- Developed and taught courses in Data Structures, Database Management Systems, Python Programming, Operating Systems, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Speech and Language Processing, etc.
- Served on multiple departmental committees – Board of Studies, National Board of Accreditation (NBA), and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) – addressing curriculum development, accreditation, quality assessment and technology initiatives.
- Developed e-learning course materials using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and integrated mobile applications into classroom teaching to enhance student engagement and active learning.
- Built industry relationships with industries such as Ericsson India and HCL Technologies to create student internship opportunities.
- Organized the International Conference on Computer, Communication and Signal Processing (ICCCSP 2026) – 10th edition, June 23–25, 2026, theme: “Applied AI: Driving Multidisciplinary Innovation and Solutions”, Springer proceedings.
- Organized ICCCSP 2024 – 8th edition (March 20–22, 2024, theme: “Smart Solutions for Sustainable Development Goals”), and actively participated in and organized shared tasks hosted by the Forum for Information Retrieval Evaluation (FIRE) and the Language Technology for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (LT-EDI) initiative. Also, organized the ICCCSP 2018.
