Dr. K. J. Jegadish Kumar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SSN School of Engineering, Shiv Nadar University Chennai. He received his B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (1999), M.E. in Communication Systems from Madurai Kamaraj University (2001), and Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (2015). His doctoral research was on “Investigation of Cryptography Techniques for Wireless Sensor Networks.”
With over 24 years of teaching and research experience, his research interests include Security solutions in VLSI, RF and Microwave Engineering, Antenna Design, and IOT/Embedded Systems. He has successfully completed two funded research projects and has published research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences. He has successfully guided one Ph.D. scholar and is currently supervising two Ph.D. research scholars, in addition to mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Research Projects
Project 1: Design and Fabrication of Compact Implantable Dual-Band Antenna Integrated with an Implantable Medical Device for Biotelemetry Applications
This SSN Trust funded project was successfully completed over two years. A compact dual-band implantable antenna was designed, fabricated, and experimentally validated for biomedical telemetry applications, achieving efficient performance, miniaturization, and compliance with medical communication requirements.
Project 2: Implementation and Testing of Image Encryption Algorithm
This SSN Trust funded project was completed successfully within two years. Secure image encryption algorithms were implemented and evaluated using standard security metrics, demonstrating robust protection against cryptographic attacks and efficient performance for secure image transmission.
