Dr. P. Rajesh
Associate Professor
Department of Physics
Dr. P. Rajesh obtained his B.Sc. in Physics from St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, and his M.Sc. in Physics from the Department of Physics, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. He received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from Anna University, Chennai, in 2011. During his doctoral studies, he worked as a Junior Research Fellow on a project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and subsequently received the Direct Senior Research Fellowship from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India.
Dr. Rajesh has published more than 100 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals and presented over 150 papers at national and international conferences. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences, Chennai, and has received travel grants from DST, CSIR, and SSN to present his research papers in international conferences in held in China, Poland, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and other countries. He has supervised nine Ph.D. scholars to completion, with three research scholars currently pursuing their doctoral studies under his guidance. In addition, he has served as the Principal Investigator for several research projects funded by national funding agencies. He joined SSN College of Engineering in May 2011 and served there as a faculty member until June 2026. Since July 1, 2026, he has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, School of Science and Humanities, Shiv Nadar University Chennai.
