Dr. S. Vidhusha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shiv Nadar University Chennai, with over 15 years of experience in academia, including more than 11 years in research.
She received her Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering, Anna University, in 2020. Her research focuses on cognitive neuroscience, brain disorder studies, and medical image processing, with an emphasis on integrating computational techniques to better understand brain–behaviour relationships.
Her research interests also encompass computer vision and immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), along with the application of AI techniques to areas such as Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) modelling.
In addition to her research, Dr. Vidhusha has been involved in international academic initiatives, including serving as a panel member in a Virtual Reality forum organized by the Software Sustainability Institute (SSI), UK. She has also contributed as an overseas project mentor for undergraduate students at Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA. She has also engaged in academic visits to institutions in the United States and Australia.
Her work reflects a steady commitment to teaching, interdisciplinary research, and mentoring students in their academic and professional growth.
