A New Journey Commences at Shiv Nadar University Chennai




Dr. Kala Vijayakumar in her address highlighted the fact that the Batch of 2022 represents the top 4.8% of student applicants who made it to Shiv Nadar University Chennai this year and congratulated the parents for their constant support and encouragement. She iterated the opportunities at Shi Nadar University Chennai for holistic development of the students which include learning avenues in academics, research, sports and becoming socially conscious humans. The Pro-Chancellor also shared the University’s vision to become a global university focused on innovation, research, creativity and mould future leaders.
In his address, Professor Sriman Kumar Bhattacharyya, the founding Vice Chancellor of Shiv Nadar University Chennai, exhorted the Batch of 2022 to be job providers rather than job seekers through their years at SNUC. The VC shared the University’s commitment to impart quality education and produce qualified manpower for the world through innovative ways. He reminded the students that there is no substitute for hard work.

The parents enthusiastically shared their experience and thoughts on the admission process and the University itself.One of the parents, being an SSN alumnus,shared her admiration on how the Shiv Nadar Foundation is still run as a family than as a business by the management.
Two second-year students from the Batch of 2021 shared their student experiences at the University. Mr. Ram Satvat (B. Com PA) gave convincing reasons for doing B. Com PA at SNUC than anywhere else. Ms. Jayashree (AI & DS) talked about how winning a scholarship enabled her greatly in pursuing her higher studies without any second thoughts or worry.
In the afternoon session a motivational talk by Lieutenant Esan, Commander of Voluntary Disaster Rescue Squadtook place. He came on the stage not only to motivate but to inspire the students to dream big. Using his life as a template he urged the students to live life with a fixed goal in mind and hold onto that goal. He finished upby telling the students never to give up in their lives when things do not go their way because “picture abhibaakihai.”
