Dr. Vaishali Choudhary-in the capacity of Assistant Professor at the School of Science and Humanities at Shiv Nadar University Chennai, is involved in teaching courses in the field of Environmental Sciences and Engineering. She received her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where her research work was focused on the detection and treatment of residual pollutants, including nutrients and emerging contaminants in the secondary effluent from domestic wastewater treatment plants. Her research interest includes monitoring and understanding the fate of micropollutants in the aquatic environment, selective separation, and the development of field-deployable sensors and systems for the chemical-free recovery of nutrients from wastewater. The output of the research works can be seen in multiple scientific articles published (Quartile 1), patents, and awards.
