Professor Dr. K. Sampath Kumar has around 26 years’ experience in Banking, both in Public and Private Sector Banks. He has extensive experience in the various facets of Banking, specializing in the Credit portfolio. He has also been taking classes for 15 years in Banks. He was also involved in consultancy activities for over a year. Apart from this, he has full time teaching experience in reputed university affiliated institutions and a business school for over 20 years.

Dr. K. Sampath Kumar is a Fellow member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, an Associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a Certified Associate member of the Indian Institute of Bankers.   He holds an M.B.A. with specialization in Finance and is a rank holder in the second M.B.A. with specialization in Human Resources & Marketing Management from the University of Madras. He holds a master’s degree in commerce and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and General Law.  He holds a Doctorate degree from Alagappa University.  He has also cleared the NET examination in Commerce & Management.

Dr. K. Sampath Kumar has taught subjects related to finance and accounts such as Accounting for Management, Financial Management, Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, Merchant Banking and Financial Services, Corporate Finance and other subjects such as International Business Management, Advertising & Sales Promotion, Engineering Economics, Principles of Management, Banking, Commercial Law, etc.

He is a member of CII, ICAI, ICSI, IIB and other reputed institutions. He has attended various workshops and training programmes apart from conferences and seminars at national and international levels and has presented many papers in reputed journals. He was an editor for the book titled “A compendium of essays on Opportunities and Challenges in the Current Global Business Scenario” published in 2011. For the subjects, Merchant Banking and Financial Services and Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, he was the content developer for Everonn Limited.

He was also involved in organizing two Management Development programs at SAIL, 3 programs for HCL Technologies (Risk Management in banking sector) and 3 programs (Financial Excellence) for L&T Ltd. (Construction Division, Chennai) and one program (Finance for Non finance executives) at Numeric Control Systems, Chennai.
